The roar of SRH pacer Umran Malik's fiery bowling in the ongoing IPL 2022 has reached the ears of the big politicians of the country, and they all can’t wait to see the young pace sensation play for India at the highest level.

Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Umran Malik has taken the IPL 2022 by storm with his pace and has left everyone in awe of him, and now former Finance Minister P Chidambaram has become a fan of the Jammu and Kashmir speedster.

On April 27, Umran Malik contently clocked over 150 kph regularly and picked up his maiden five-wicket haul in T20 cricket, taking 5/25 against Gujarat  Titans, a effort which went in vain.

After the match, Congress party leader P Chidambaram heaped praise on India’s newest pace sensation and asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to appoint a special coach for Malik.

He wrote on Twitter: “The Umran Malik hurricane is blowing away everything in its way. The sheer pace and aggression is a sight to behold. After today's performance there can be no doubt that he is the find of this edition of IPL. The BCCI should give him an exclusive coach and quickly induct him into the national team.”

Earlier, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor had called for Umran’s inclusion into the Indian team.

He had tweeted: “We need him in India colors asap. What a phenomenal talent. Blood him before he burns out! Take him to England for the Test match greentop. He and Bumrah bowling in tandem will terrify the Angrez!”
