Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will clash in their only meeting in the ongoing IPL 2022 in the 42nd match of the tournament which will be played at the MCA stadium in Pune on April 29, Friday.
LSG are placed 4th at the points table with 5 wins from 8 matches, while PBKS have won four matches in 8 encounters. Both the teams have had their share of misfortunes and advantages and will be looking to find some winning momentum in the second half of the tournament.
Keeping this in mind, here is the Team COC Predicted Playing XIs for the PBKS v LSG match.
Punjab Kings haven’t managed to string a series of wins together and recently defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK), after losing two matches in a row. PBKS captain Mayank Agarwal has led well, but still has only 4 wins to show from 8 matches in total.
The PBKS team made some tweaks into their playing XI to bolster their batting by including Bhanuka Rajapaksa along with Livingstone and Bairstow. They were helped by inclusion of Rishi Dhawan in the XI, who took the onus of bowling the last over under pressure against CSK.
Rahul Chahar, Arshdeep Singh and Kagiso Rabada are the heart of PBKS bowling, while the only possible change they can make is bring someone else in place of Sandeep Sharma, who was expensive against CSK.
LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have won two of their last three games in the IPL 2022. The KL Rahul led team is very good when it comes to batting with captain KL Rahul leading the way and Quinton de Kock, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya and Ayush Badoni in support.
However, Manish Pandey didn’t do anything worthy to keep his spot in the XI and with PBKS employing two left-handers in their top three, LSG might get K Gowtham in the XI to bowl in powerplay overs.
With no update on Avesh Khan’s fitness, LSG might keep Mohsin Khan in the XI, as he impressed a lot. Dushmantha Chameera, Jason Holder and Ravi Bishnoi have been excellent, while Krunal Pandya and Marcus Stoinis give Rahul many more options.
