In a game where Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan pulled off an incredible victory for Gujarat Titans (GT), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Umran Malik made many go bonkers with his raw pace and his performance on Wednesday (April 27).

Defending the target of 196 runs, Malik was the lone warrior for SRH in Match 40 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 in Mumbai as GT won by five wickets in a last-ball finish.

Although his staggering effort didn’t win his side the match, but surely his ability to trouble batters with the express pace made even the fans of the opposition team happy for him.

Malik came into the attack in the 8th over and left his mark straight away as he uprooted stumps of Shubman Gill (22) to provide his side with the breakthrough. After that, he delivered every time his captain Kane Williamson called him to bowl.

His top speed was 152.9 kmph, which he bowled to Saha to uproot his stumps.

Malik returned with the figures of 5/25 and took all the five wickets that fell in the Gujarat innings. His heroics made him draw rich praises from many fans and pundits and even earned him the Player of the Match award in the losing cause.
