Fans on Sunday (24th April) lashed out at Ishan Kishan for his poor knock against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 37 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 in Mumbai.

One of the main reasons for Mumbai Indians’ (MI) poor campaign in the IPL 2022 is the form of their keeper-batter Kishan. The southpaw, after scoring 84 and 54 against DC and RR respectively in the opening two matches, hasn’t done any justice to his price tag of INR 15.25 crores.

Since then, he has scored just 64 runs at an average of 10.67. In MI’s recent match against LSG, Kishan looked completely clueless as he scored 8 runs off 20 balls at a strike rate of 40.

Ravi Bishnoi ended his struggling stay at the crease. The southpaw tried to smash a short and wide delivery on the leg side but ended up losing his shape completely. The ball bounced off Quinton de Kock’s boots and Jason Holder took the rebound catch at first slip.

As he was dismissed, fans on Twitter slammed him. Calling him ‘overrated’, they also lashed out at the franchise for shelling a massive amount for him at the auction.
