The 37th match of the IPL 2022 between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) saw bromance between Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard as the former jumped at latter and tried to kiss his head in the last over of the game.
MI needed 39 runs off the final over, but Krunal bowled exceptionally well, conceding only 2 runs. His first delivery was wide and then he got the wicket of Pollard, which led to an over-the-top reaction.

Notably, the duo shares a very healthy camaraderie and their friendship blossomed at MI, the franchise Krunal was associated with till last year.
“I was so thankful that I got his (Pollard) wicket otherwise he would have eaten my brain throughout my life because he got me out and now that it’s 1-1 at least he will speak less. Honesty is important in the team and these guys (coaching staff) are doing pretty well and ensuring everyone is getting better. For me process is important and we want to accept our mistakes and learn from it,” Krunal said after the game.
The all-rounder showered rich praise on his captain KL Rahul slammed 103* off 62 balls to lead the foundation of LSG’s comprehensive 36-run victory.
“It was a terrific knock, leading from the front and got us to a respectable total, so all credit goes to him (KL Rahul). I had no idea about how the wicket was going. When we batted, KL was mentioning that the wicket was stopping a bit so we tried to bowl slower and ball that hard length for the new batters,” he added.
Thanks to Rahul’s second century of the IPL 2022 season, Lucknow Super Giants posted 168/8 on the board.
In reply, MI skipper Rohit Sharma came out with positive intent and tonked LSG bowlers all over the park for his 39-run knock. But there was no support from the other end and the five-time champions found themselves tumbling at 67/4.
Tilak Varma (38) and Kieron Pollard (19) kept their side in the hunt but in the end, the pressure got better off them as they failed to overahul the target.
