IPL 2022: Dewald Brevis, Tilak Varma indulge in a hilarious dressing room conversation

Dewald Brevis and Tilak Varma have been the bright spots of the MI team in IPL 15 so far.

Dewald Brevis and Tilak Varma | BCCI/IPLMumbai Indians (MI) are having a torrid time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. They have lost all six games in the competition so far and their chances of qualifying for the playoffs look bleak now.

MI’s latest defeat came against the Lucknow Super Giants at Brabourne Stadium on Saturday (April 16). The five-time champions were at the receiving end of an 18-run loss in a high-scoring affair.

Amid the poor show, Dewald Brevis and Tilak Varma’s batting have been the biggest positives for the team so far.

The duo is also enjoying their time off the field. On Tuesday (April 19), Brevis and Varma had a hilarious dressing room conversation.

In a video uploaded on MI’s Instagram account, Brevis can be seen talking to Varma, asking his mate to arrive early at the team room.

“You need to be at 11 in the team room. You’re going to be late. That’s not nice. You must be on time,” Brevis said.

Afterwards, the camera pointed towards Varma and Brevis further said, “Five minutes late.”

In response, Varma said, “I’m waiting for you at the breakfast, come on man. It’s not fair,”

“When did I say you must be there?” Brevis retorted back.

Taking a friendly dig at Brevis, Varma said, “But I’m waiting for you. I’m so loyal, no. Not like you, you said you’re coming and went directly to the team room. Have you had your breakfast today?”

Brevis was about to reply but Varma cut him short and said, “I don’t care, but you should eat your breakfast before 11.”

Brevis said, “10:30 and then I’m on my way and then I get my food at 11 at the breakfast.”

In the ongoing IPL, Dewald Brevis has played four innings so far, registering the scores of 29, 8, 49, and 31. Known as ‘Baby AB’, the 18-year-old has impressed one and all with his array of strokes.

On the other hand, Tilak Varma has amassed 183 runs from six matches at an average of 36.60 and a strike rate of 147.58.

Mumbai Indians will face Chennai Super Kings in their next match on April 21.
