The IPL 2022 clash between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Wednesday (April 20) has been moved from MCA Stadium, Pune to Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, given the COVID-19 situation within the DC camp, the IPL announced on April 19, 2022.
This comes after DC physio Patrick Farhart, a few more support staff members, and Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This venue change was done to avoid any further incidents due to any undetected case during a long-distance bus journey in a closed environment.
The IPL also revealed the names of The DC members who have tested positive apart from Farhart and Mitchell Marsh. The other members are masseuse Chetan Kumar, doctor Abhijit Salvi, and social media manager, Akash Mane.
From April 16th onwards, the entire Delhi Capitals contingent has been put under a daily RT-PCR testing procedure. The 4th round of RT-PCR tests conducted on April 19th have returned negative.

The official release also confirmed that the COVID-positive cases are under isolation and medical observation. They will be tested on days 6 and 7 and subject to both the tests being negative they will be re-integrated into the Delhi Capitals bio-secured bubble.
The release also stated that the match will only go forward after the Delhi Capitals contingent undergoes another round of RT-PCR testing on the morning of April 20th.
