DC will now need to wait for more tests tomorrow before a call is taken on their match against Punjab Kings on Wednesday which is scheduled to be played in Pune. Delhi Capitals, runners-up in 2020, are currently 8th on the points table after winning only two of their five matches so far this season.

The BCCI had come up with bio-bubble arrangements and picked only Mumbai and Pune as the two host cities for the new 10-team season in a bid to avoid air travel. This was to avoid the IPL 2021 fiasco when the tournament was played across four different cities and COVID penetrated the bio-bubbles in Ahmedabad and Delhi, leading to the postponement of the tournament.
