In a major development, COVID-19 has rocked the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as cases have been reported in the Delhi Capitals (DC) camp.
According to a Cricbuzz report, the Delhi-based franchise has been hit by the Coronavirus outbreak and has cancelled today's scheduled travel to Pune for their next IPL fixture.
The report further suggests that the entire DC contingent will be in isolation in their rooms with door-to-door COVID tests scheduled for April 18 and April 19.
Earlier, Delhi’s physio Patrick Farhart was isolated after he returned COVID-19 positive. As per the report, another player has now tested positive on the Rapid Antigen Test and will undergo further RT-PCR test to confirm the result.
Delhi Capitals are slated to face Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their next match at MCA Stadium, Pune on Wednesday (April 20). Their next course of action is being reportedly discussed with the BCCI.
The Rishabh Pant-led side has won two out of their five games so far and is occupying the eighth spot on the 10-team points table.
