David Warner’s wife Candice on Saturday (16th April) shared pictures of the couple’s ‘sad’ daughters after the Delhi Capitals (DC) batter got out in Match 27 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Mumbai.

Warner smashed his second consecutive half-century for DC against RCB. The southpaw gave his side a perfect start while chasing a big total of 190 runs.

Opening the batting, Warner came out all guns blazing and smashed a six on the very first ball he faced. He capitalised on the start he got and went on to score 66 before he was trapped lbw by Wanindu Hasaranga.

Till the Australian opener was in the middle, it almost looked that DC will comfortably chase the target and register their third win of the season, but his wicket brought RCB back into the game and they put immense pressure on the Rishabh Pant-led side to complete a comfortable 16 runs victory.

As Warner was dismissed, not only DC fans but his daughters, who were in the stands were also disappointed and were caught on television with sad expressions on their faces.

The cricketer’s wife Candice Warner posted a picture of the same on her Twitter account, highlighting that children were heartbroken after the DC opener got out.

“When daddy gets out the girls are heartbroken.”  Candice captioned the pictures.

Notably, after the wicket of Warner, DC was reduced from 94/2 to 115/5. Skipper Rishabh Pant tried hard but a sensational catch by Virat Kohli saw him back in the hut for 34 runs. Josh Hazlewood starred with the ball for RCB and returned with the figures of 3/28 to help his side win their fourth match of the season.

Delhi Capitals will next face Punjab Kings on Wednesday (20th April) at MCA Stadium in Pune.
