Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) speedster Umran Malik on Friday (April 15) once again grabbed the headlines with his exceptional bowling performance versus Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Known to trouble the batters with his pace and bounce, Umran looked in his elements as the KKR players found it tough against him.
The Jammu and Kashmir lad consistently clocked the speed of 145+ kph while bowling and returned with impressive figures of 2 for 27 in his four overs. KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer (28) and wicketkeeper-batter Sheldon Jackson (7) were his victims.
Apart from Umran, T Natarajan (3-37) claimed three wickets as SRH restricted KKR to 175/8 in 20 overs. Nitish Rana top scored for the Knight Riders with 36-ball 54, while all-rounder Andre Russell stayed unbeaten on 49 off 25 balls.
For his outstanding bowling spell, Umran Malik received rich praise from the cricket fraternity on Twitter.
