Ahead of the match against Mumbai Indians (MI), Punjab Kings (PBKS) speedster Kagiso Rabada on Wednesday (13th April) dedicated a song for former South Africa pacer Morne Morkel.

Punjab Kings roped in Rabada for INR 9.25 crore at the IPL 2022 mega-auction. After missing the first match for the franchise, the fast bowler joined the team in the second match against KKR.

Since his arrival, the Mayank Agarwal-led side has looked threatening in the tournament so far. He has taken 6 wickets in the 4 matches he has played at an economy and strike rate of 8.21 and 14.00, respectively.

Rabada along with Arshdeep Singh has troubled opposition batters at the death. The Proteas pacer played a pivotal role in his side’s win against MI on Wednesday (April 13).

He first removed Rohit Sharma, who was going great guns, for 28 runs and then sent Suryakumar Yadav packing in the penultimate over for 43 runs. Rabada returned with the figures of 2/29 to help his side hand MI their fifth straight loss in the season.

However, ahead of the match, Kagiso Rabada gave fans a glimpse of his singing talent. The pacer was seen having an interaction with Morne Morkel, who requested the PBKS bowler to sing a song. Rabada didn’t turn his request down and sang verses from Bill Withers’ – Ain’t No Sunshine and impressed many with his voice.

Here’s the video:

Rabada so far has 82 wickets under his belt in 54 games at an economy rate of 8.21 in IPL. He also won the Purple Cap in 2020, when he scalped 30 wickets in 17 matches.

He will be next seen in action when PBKS will lock horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday (17th April) at DY Patil Stadium.
