South African fast bowling great Dale Steyn is known for his acid wit and is not afraid to give it back to people who tend to take a dig at the legend, but his replies are always respectable, yet stinging ones.

The most recent instance happened on Twitter, as Dale Steyn shared a photo of himself with a huge fish that he had caught. However, for some reason, a Twitter user decided to take an unwanted dig at Steyn and said that Jasprit Bumrah was better than him.

The user tweeted, “Bumrah is better than you.” To which, Dale Steyn humbly replied, “Im sure he is, I’m retired.”

This was an epic way to deflate the situation as the user might have anticipated something else in reply, but got this gem of a retort that was both humble, and put the user in his place.

Meanwhile, Dale Steyn is currently in India as he was named the fast-bowling coach of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing IPL 2022. Bumrah, on the other hand, is leading the Mumbai Indians pace attack, who are looking for their first win in the tournament after four straight losses.
