Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Kane Williamson heaped praise on his team for their collective efforts after they beat Gujarat Titans (GT) by 8 wickets on April 11 at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Monday (April 11).

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) recorded their second straight win by defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) by 8 wickets in the ongoing IPL 2022, thanks to Abhishek Sharma (42), Williamson (57), and collective efforts from the bowling unit on Monday.

T Natrajan and Bhuwneshwar Kumar each snared 2 wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Williamson said in the post-match presentation ceremony: “It was, I thought all in all a good game of cricket. I thought we were good with the ball and so were they. It was hard to get a rhythm and so we just tried to build partnerships but good to see signs of improvement. The guys are nice and clear on their roles.”

He added, “Naturally there are always a number of challenges playing the best in the world and you're always under pressure but they adjusted nicely. It was quite tough to hit through the line. It was a fair game of cricket and if you could pick up wickets you could squeeze them a little bit.”

Meanwhile, Rahul Tripathi collapsed on the ground after sustaining cramps, and the SRH captain is confident about the batter’s recovery while brushing out any serious injury concerns.

He signed off by saying, “I think [Tripathi] might just be cramp. Hopefully, it is minor and he can recover quickly. I'm not quite sure about Washington Sundar but hopefully, he recovers quickly. We're seeing a variety of surfaces throughout the comp so I'm just trying to adjust.”
