The 21st match of the IPL 2022 saw Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) taking on Gujarat Titans (GT) in a battle of the undefeated franchise against someone who won their first match just a few days ago.
Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to field first. Both GT and SRH went in unchanged and the match saw some terrific action at the very start.
On the second ball of 3rd over by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shubman Gill, fresh off his highest IPL score of 96, played a fine drive towards cover. However, Rahul Tripathi, who was stationed there, dove high in the air and plucked the ball out of nowhere in one hand to complete an astonishing catch.
It left both the batter Shubman Gill and the bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar highly impressed, as GT were left 24/1 in 2.2 overs.
Here is the video of the catch:
GT made 80/3 at the 10-over mark by the time of writing this piece, with Matthew Wade falling to Umran Malik for 19 and Sai Sudharshan getting out for 11 off Natarajan.
