Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer on Sunday (10th April) took a jibe at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after Kuldeep Yadav’s spell won Delhi Capitals (DC) their second match of the IPL 2022.

Kuldeep had a sensational outing in DC’s 44-run win against KKR in Mumbai. The chinaman bowler returned with the figures of 4/35 and completely turned the game in his side’s favour when he took 3 wickets in the 16th over.

After removing well-set Shreyas Iyer for 54 runs, he removed Pat Cummins (4), Sunil Narine (4) and Umesh Yadav (0). He also took a stunning catch off his own bowling, that earned him a lot of praises.

What caught the attention of many was that he gave his 100% against his old team KKR. After his heroics against the Shreyas-led side, fans roasted the franchise for mismanaging the wrist-spinner.

Notably, Kuldeep spent seven years with KKR, having joined them in 2014. He barely got chances in the last two seasons as he played just 5 games in 2020 and was benched for the whole season in 2021.

Kuldeep’s impressive performance made Ranji Trophy legend Jaffer poke fun at KKR. He used lines from a famous Bollywood song to trigger the meme feast.

Here are Jaffer’s and some other reactions from the fans:
