IPL 2022: Harshal Patel leaves bio-bubble to return home after demise of a family member

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Harshal Patel has left the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) bio-bubble to be with his family after the demise of his sister.

Harshal received the tragic news after helping Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Mumbai Indians (MI) by 7 wickets in the 18th match of the ongoing IPL 2022 on Saturday, April 9. The RCB star snared two wickets while conceding 23 runs in his four overs against MI at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

After the match, the pacer did not take the team bus back to Mumbai from Pune, as he left for his home to see off his sister for the last time. However, he will soon rejoin the RCB camp. He will be rejoining the bio-bubble ahead of the RCB’s next match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 10.

An IPL source said,Unfortunately, Harshal had to leave the bio-bubble due to a death in his family. It was his sister. He did not take the team bus back to Mumbai from Pune. He will be rejoining the bubble before the next game against CSK on April 12.”

Well, after his return, the pacer will have to undergo a three-day quarantine before rejoining the RCB camp. He has so far snared six wickets in four matches for the RCB in the ongoing IPL 2022.
