Ahead of the game, Team COC presents to you the Predicted playing XIs of Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Chennai Super Kings | BCCI/IPLRuturaj Gaikwad may have been struggling for runs in the IPL 2022 edition, but the Orange Cap winner of last season should continue to open the innings alongside Robin Uthappa.

All-rounder Moeen Ali is likely to hold the No. 3 batting position followed by Ambati Rayudu, skipper Ravindra Jadeja and veteran wicketkeeper batter MS Dhoni.

Shivam Dube has been in terrific touch with the bat and he automatically picks himself for the No. 7 slot, followed by another batting all-rounder Dwayne Bravo.

Coming to the pace department, Chris Jordan will lead the attack alongside Dwaine Pretorius. Both of them were brilliant with the ball in CSK’s last outing against the Punjab Kings.

Left-arm pacer Mukesh Choudhary, who conceded 52 runs in the last game against PBKS, is likely to be dropped from the playing XI at the expense of KM Asif, who has claimed four wickets in three games for CSK previously.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Sunrisers Hyderabad | BCCI/IPLSRH are unlikely to make wholesale changes to their playing XI despite the two back-to-back defeats. Skipper Kane Williamson and the young Abhishek Sharma should hold the opening positions even though the outcome hasn’t been great so far.

Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram have looked in good touch in the last two matches and they are likely to continue batting at No. 3 and No. 4 slots, respectively.

Wicketkeeper batter Nicholas Pooran is likely to come to bat at No. 5, followed by all-rounders Abdul Samad, Romario Shepherd, and Washington Sundar.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan bowled brilliantly in CSK’s last outing against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the duo should spearhead the fast bowling attack.

Umran Malik may have grabbed attention with his pace and bounce but he has been quite expensive with the ball in SRH’s first two fixtures, returning with the figures of 2/39 and 0/39. He is likely to be benched by the franchise at the expense of Kartik Tyagi, who was roped in for INR 4 crore at the IPL 2022 mega-auction.
