LSG will face Delhi Capitals (DC) in their IPL 15 clash on Thursday (April 7).

India all-rounder Deepak Hooda has opened up about his present equation with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) teammate Krunal Pandya in the ongoing IPL 2022.

Notably, last year, Hooda stepped out of Baroda’s bio-bubble ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 and accused captain Krunal Pandya of bullying him. The all-rounder also alleged that Pandya was trying to pull him down and even warned him that he would ensure he did not play for Baroda again.

Following the famous spat, Hooda left Baroda and joined Rajasthan to play domestic cricket, but it was destiny that they are now playing for the same franchise, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), in the IPL 2022.

Deepak Hooda was sold for 5.75 crores, while Krunal was bought for a whopping Rs 8.25 crores by LSG at the IPL 2022 mega auction.

However, now it seems like the duo has buried the hatchet, as Hood said that Krunal Pandya is like his brother and brothers do fight, so there hasn’t been anything to keep bitterness in their hearts.

Deepak Hooda told Dainik Jagran in an interview: “Krunal Pandya is like my brother, and brothers do fight. We are playing with one aim, which is to win games for LSG.”

When asked about his reaction when he got to know that he would be sharing the dressing room with Krunal Pandya in the IPL 2022, the all-rounder said that was in the past and now they are just aiming to play good cricket and win matches for the new franchise.

Hood signed off by saying, “I was not watching the IPL auction. We met just like the other players at the team hotel. Whatever happened is in the past, and as I said, we both are playing for the same team and our goals, too, are the same.”
