Veteran Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has recalled a funny incident when a girl turned down his proposal and he came back with one of the best retorts.

Dhawan is by far one of the best openers produced by India, and he is currently playing for the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2022. Giving the PBKS fans more glimpses of the veteran Indian batter, the official social media handle of the Punjab Kings franchise shared a video starring the talismanic batter.

In a conversation on PBKS’s YouTube channel, Dhawan opened up about getting rejected by a girl during his early playing days.

"Once I proposed to a girl and she rejected me. She used to play at that time and had a dark face tone. So, you know what I said? I told her that you have rejected the Kohinoor diamond," Dhawan recalled.
