Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson expressed his disappointment over his team’s 4-wicket loss to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Tuesday, April 6, but he was unable to point out one particular moment where they lost the 13th match of the ongoing IPL 2022 at Wankhede Stadium.

On the back of stunning batting performances from Jos Buttler (70*) and Shimron Hetmyer (42*), Rajasthan Royals (RR) managed to post 169/3 on the board against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RR) after being asked to bat first.

Defending the total, RR had their moments, but Dinesh Karthik (44*) and Shahbaz Ahmed (45) took RCB over the line with 5 balls to spare to win the match by 4 wickets on Tuesday.

After the match, Sanju Samson said in a post-match presentation: “I can't point out one moment where we lost the game. I thought it was a great effort to put up that total on such a slow wicket after losing the toss. Jos and Hetmyer batted brilliantly at the death. Taking the match to the last over with the dew coming in was a great effort as well.”

He concluded, “(On whether he asked the umpires to change the ball because of dew) No I didn't. I was confident about my bowlers. DK is someone with a lot of experience. We just need to take our time to set the field. Lots of positives to take out of this loss, and we can learn a lot of things as well.”
