The IPL 2022 will see Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 5 in the 13th match of the tournament at the Wankhede Stadium. This match will see RR's Yuzvendra Chahal playing against his old franchise RCB.
RCB had retained Glenn Maxwell along with Mohammed Siraj and Virat Kohli before the IPL 2022 auction, but Chahal was released into the auction. It was a surprise that RCB didn't retain Chahal as well, who had picked 139 wickets for them in 114 matches for them in the IPL.
The leg-spinner was then bought by RR in the auction and the leg-spinner has begun his stint with the new franchise on a stellar note with five wickets in two matches.
A day before the match, players of both teams met up after their training sessions in Mumbai, and fans got to see the emotional meeting of Yuzvendra Chahal with Glenn Maxwell
Maxwell missed the first two games of the RCB team owing to his wedding back home and completed his mandatory 3-day quarantine on arrival in India for the IPL 2022.
