IPL 2022: Match 7, LSG v CSK- COC Predicted Playing XIs

Both the teams lost their first matches of the IPL 2022.

Both LSG and CSK have lost their first matches respectively in IPL 2022 | BCCI-IPLThe seventh match of the IPL 2022 will see Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clashing with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 31, 2022, at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Both the teams lost their respective first matches of the tournament and are searching for their maiden win this season.

CSK were beaten fair and square by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2022 tournament opener as their batting failed to come to the party, barring former captain MS Dhoni.

LSG, on the other hand, bottled a game they should have won against fellow debutants Gujarat Titans as Rahul Tewatia, David Miller and Abhinav Manohar carried out a heist of sorts.

With both teams trying to get on the point table of IPL 2022, here is the Team COC Predicted Playing XIs for the LSG v CSK match

LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS

Lucknow Super Giants may feel that the game they lost to GT was probably a bit of bad luck for them, their bowlers crumbled under immense pressure from GT hitters.

KL Rahul would like to open his account in IPL 2022 after a golden duck, while Quinton de Kock and Evin Lewis would want to spend a bit more time in the middle before playing their shots.

Lucknow Super Giants face off against defending champions CSK | BCCI-IPLThe LSG middle order is the perfect mix of anchor Manish Pandey and big-hitters Krunal Pandya, Deepak Hooda, and newcomer Ayush Badoni, who impressed everyone a lot with his calm composure under pressure.

Dushmantha Chameera was excellent at the start, giving LSG some quick wickets upfront, but LSG’s two big bowling talents Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan need to take up more responsibility with the ball as both seemed off-color a bit. Mohsin Khan, the left-arm pacer might get one more chance to prove himself.

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS

Chennai Super Kings are the one franchise that believe in playing with the same XI match after match. However, they will be elated with the news of their retention, England’s Moeen Ali becoming available for this encounter.

He is expected to replace Mitchell Santner in the playing XI, while the remainder of the unit is expected to remain unchanged.

CSK batting was practically ambushed by KKR bowlers as Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway failed to give the team a good start. Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu looked in good touch before getting out.

CSK is one team known to make a comeback in grand style | BCCI-IPLMS Dhoni did the damage control brilliantly, but Jadeja seemed nervous in his captaincy debut and it showed in both his bowling and batting and he might feel a bit more relaxed with the debut match out of the way.

Shivam Dube failed to impress with both the bat and the ball and perhaps needs to perform to keep his place in the XI. Dwayne Bravo showed his experience with the ball and is one wicket away from becoming the highest wicket-taker in IPL history.

Adam Milne and Tushar Deshpande have a lot of work to do and CSK might want to try out KM Asif in place of Deshpande, but it is unlikely given the history of the franchise with their playing XIs.

LSG COC Predicted Playing XI:

KL Rahul (C), Quinton de Kock (WK), Evin Lewis, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Ayush Badoni, Dushmantha Chameera, Mohsin Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan

CSK COC Predicted Playing XI:
