Delhi Capitals' (DC) Tim Seifert took a flying blinder of a catch to remove dangerous Kieron Pollard in the second match of the IPL 2022 tournament, against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Brabourne Stadium on March 27, 2022.
DC won the toss and chose to bowl first and after a decent opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, Kuldeep Yadav came into the attack and rocked the MI batting a bit. He picked 3/18 with his wickets including Rohit Sharma, Anmolpreet Singh, and the dangerous Kieron Pollard.
Much was expected of Pollard, who walked in to bat after Tilak Varma had gotten out after a good cameo of 22 runs. However, he made just 3 runs from 6 balls, as Tim Seifert took an amazing catch to get rid of him.
IPL 2022: Cricket fraternity all praiseful of DC’s Kuldeep Yadav as his 3/18 keeps MI to 177/5
Kuldeep bowled a short ball of sorts which Pollard tried to pull towards the leg side. But Tim Seifert anticipated the catch early and moved swiftly and flung himself to take a flying two-handed catch. In the end, MI finished on 177/5 with Ishan Kishan top-scoring with 81* with 11 fours and 2 sixes.
