Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh on Saturday (26th March) gave valuable advice to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)'s wicketkeeper-batter Sheldon Jackson. Calling him a "very talented" player he suggested him to wear a helmet while keeping to spinners.
The curtain-raiser of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 saw Kolkata Knight Riders thump Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 wickets. The Shreyas Iyer-led side was clinical with both bat and ball and earned important two points.
While it was an all-round effort that attained KKR a victory, keeper-batter Sheldon Jackson too had his moment in the match. The Saurashtra player impressed many with his keeping skills after he affected a lightning-quick stumping to remove Robin Uthappa.
Spinner Varun Chakravarthy bowled a quicker delivery down the leg side, to which Jackson reacted quickly and pulled off a brilliant stumping to send Uthappa back in the hut. The 35-year-old stumper earned rich praises for his glovework and even batting great Sachin Tendulkar was impressed with his skills.

However, Yuvraj Singh shared a piece of advice for Jackson, who kept without a helmet, and urged him to start wearing head protection against spinners to avoid injury.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Yuvraj hailed Jackson as a talented player and advised him to wear a helmet.
"Dear #SheldonJackson please wear a helmet when u keeping to spinners ! You are a very talented player and have a golden opportunity after a long time be safe !!! And all the best #CSKvKKR #IPL2022," Yuvraj Singh Tweeted.
Replying to this, Jackson said, "Thank you so much bhaiya."
