Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday (March 26) shared a cryptic video regarding the change in their social media approach over Sanju Samson’s tweet furore, saying it was all part of the prank.
"This prank was incomplete without a fake audition. P.S. Tough luck, @yuzi_chahal #RoyalsFamily | #HallaBol," RR tweeted hours ahead of the start of IPL 2022.
The development comes a day after the franchise announced that they will revamp their social media team.
It all happened after Samson called the franchise to be "professional" on social media. The Royals skipper seemed unhappy as the team’s official Twitter account posted an edited picture of him sitting on the bus.
Rajasthan Royals’ social media gimmick has not gone down well with the cricket fans this time around. The franchise was slammed by the netizens for pulling off a 'not so funny' prank just hours ahead of the start of the IPL 2022 season.
Rajasthan Royals will open their IPL 2022 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 29 at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
