Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer Anrich Nortje responded to fans' query about his availability ahead of the IPL 2022 season.
Nortje has become one of the mainstays for Delhi Capitals ever since joining the team in 2020. The right-arm pacer was also retained by the franchise ahead of IPL 2022 auction for INR 6.5 crores.
But the Proteas pacer has been out of the action for quite some time now due to his injury concerns. He was last seen in action during ICC T20 World Cup 2021. There were also a lot of speculations about his availability for the upcoming IPL 15. However, all the questions were put to rest when the speedster himself shared a picture of his arrival to India.
Delhi Capitals recently posted the video of Nortje, in which he can be seen replying to queries by many fans who asked about his availability for the league.
‘’Nortje kaha hai? Nortje yaha hai (Where is Nortje? Nortje is here)” he said in a video.
Nortje made his debut for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020. He had a sensational season as he claimed 22 wickets at an average of 23.27. He had an impressive season last year as well. In a total of 8 matches, he took 12 wickets at an average of 15.58 in 2021.
Although he has joined DC’s squad, there’s no confirmation whether he’ll be deemed fit to play the first match or not. There have been reports that suggested that the pacer will available from April 7 onwards. The Rishabh Pant-led side will begin their campaign against Mumbai Indians on March 27.
