Umran Malik rattles Nicholas Pooran with his pace and bounce | TwitterSunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have begun their preparations for the upcoming IPL 2022 tournament and all eyes are on their fast-bowling sensation Umran Malik from Jammu and Kashmir. SRH will face off against RR on March 29 in their first encounter of the season.

Umran Malik had surprised everyone with his pace in the IPL 2021 edition as he regularly clocked over 150 kph in the handful of matches he got to play in the terrible IPL 14 season for the franchise where they ended at the bottom of the points table.

However, his performances enabled him to be noticed by BCCI selectors and he was included in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE as a net bowler.

IPL 2022: “It is a huge thing for J & K,” says Abdul Samad on SRH retaining him and Umran Malik

Malik, along with fellow J&K cricketer Abdul Samad and Kane Williamson were retained by the SRH franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction.

In a video shared on social media, the 23-year-old pacer can be seen rattling the SRH’s West Indian recruit Nicholas Pooran with not only his pace but with his bouncers as well during a practice match.

In the clip, Umran's first delivery left the West Indies wicket-keeper batter with no answers while he tried to pull the second one, it only resulted in him giving an easy catch to the fielder on the leg-side.

Here is the video:

Going by the clip, it will be expected that Malik will break the speed records in the upcoming IPL 2022 as well and all eyes will be on him, keeping in mind the T20 World Cup 2022 which will be played in Australia.
