IPL 2022: WATCH- DC's Yash Dhull shows off his talent; plays a nonchalant no-look uppercut during nets

Yash Dhull's no look uppercut | DC TwitterIndia’s U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull will be showcasing his batting talent in the upcoming IPL 2022 for the Delhi Capitals (DC) franchise. Dhull, became only the third Indian U19 captain to score a century in the tournament, as he helped India win yet another title in the youth World Cup.

He then had an amazing start to his First-Class career as he reeled off 113 and 113* in his debut match for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy against Tamil Nadu and then put the cherry on top by scoring a double ton as well as Chhattisgarh.

Dhull was picked up by the DC franchise in the IPL 2022 mega auction for INR 50 lakhs. In a net session for the Rishabh Pant-led side, Dhull showed off his batting skills and possibly played the first-ever no-look uppercut shot which left the onlookers in awe.

Delhi Capitals shared a video of the shot from Dhull. The ease with which the young batter improvised, impressed fans on social media.

Before the IPL 2022 mega auction, the DC team had retained Rishabh Pant for Rs 16 crores, Axar Patel for Rs 9 crores, Prithvi Shaw for Rs 7.5 crores, and Anrich Nortje for Rs 6.5 crores.

DC’s biggest buy in the auction was Shardul Thakur, who cost them INR 10.75 crores, while they bought David Warner for a steal at INR 6.25 crores. After losing out on Marcus Stoinis, DC put faith into Mitchell Marsh, while also bringing in Kuldeep Yadav, Sarfaraz Khan, KS Bharat, and hard-hitting Rovman Powell.
