Taking to Instagram, the Bangalore-based franchise shared a few pictures, announcing Kohli’s arrival. The veteran batter was spotted in a white t-shirt and he was sporting a mask as well.

“King Kohli has arrived! That’s it. That’s the news,” RCB captioned the post.

Virat Kohli stepped down as RCB skipper following the IPL 2021 season, after leading the side for 9 years. The baton has now been passed to Faf du Plessis, who was associated with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) since 2012 and won two titles with the 'Yellow Brigade'.

For the IPL 2022 edition, Royal Challengers Bangalore are placed with Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans in group B.

RCB will kick start their campaign against PBKS on March 27 at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
