The Maharashtra government, on Wednesday (March 2), has given big news to all the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises and fans ahead of the upcoming IPL 2022, starting on March 26.
The MVA government has approved fully-vaccinated spectators at 25% of stadium capacity for the upcoming IPL 2022, which will be held in Mumbai and Pune, according to an official statement.
The state government said that only fully vaccinated spectators will be permitted to enter the stadiums for the upcoming IPL 2022, given the current decline in COVID-19 cases in the state.
The announcement came after the Maharashtra government met with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officials to discuss the smooth running of the IPL 2022, during which the decision was made to allow spectators at 25% of the stadium capacity.
