The IPL 2022 auction was a huge success as more than 600 players went under the hammer in the two-day event on February 12-13 in Bengaluru and 204 of them got lucky as the ten IPL franchises splurged over INR 550 crores.
The second of the two new franchises in the Indian Premier League, Gujarat Titans (GT), was bought by Irelia Company Pte Ltd. (CVC Capital Partners) for INR 5625 crores. The franchise owners recently revealed their logo and had quite an exciting time at the IPL 2022 auction.
Before the IPL 2022 auction, GT picked Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill from the draft and named Hardik as their captain for the upcoming season.

Ashish Nehra is the head coach of the franchise, while Gary Kirsten is the batting coach and mentor. Vikram Solanki is the director of cricket operations and Ashish Kapoor, the spin coach and talent scout.
The biggest buy for GT in the IPL 2022 auction was New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson who was bought for INR 10 crores, while Mohammad Shami was bought for INR 6.25 crores. Rahul Tewatia earned a price of INR 9 crores. They also spend huge on Jason Roy, David Miller, Alzarri Joseph, and other big-name players.

In the spin department, Tewatia will be partnering Rashid Khan with the options like R Sai Kishore, Noor Ahmad, and Jayant Yadav to choose from as well.
