Gujarat Titans will be captained by Hardik Pandya in IPL 2022 | GettyOne of the two new franchises, Gujarat Titans (GL), owned by CVC Capitals has unveiled their team logo for the upcoming IPL 2022 season. Titans and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), owned by Sanjiv Goenka’s RPSG group will play for the first time in the Indian Premier League, making it a ten-team tournament.

While LSG had unveiled its name and logo ahead of the IPL 2022 auction; the Titans only revealed their name before the mega auction and on February 20, 2022, unveiled their logo as well.

The franchise's official Twitter account tweeted: "Step into the Titans Dugout! Watch our stars unveil the logo in the metaverse! "

As for the team personnel, Vikram Solanki is the Director of Cricket, Ashish Nehra is the head coach, Gary Kirsten is the batting coach and mentor, and Ashish Kapoor, the spin bowling coach and talent scout.

The franchise had drafted in Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill ahead of the auction and named the Baroda all-rounder as their captain for the upcoming IPL 2022 season.

In the IPL 2022 mega auction, GT added some big names to their squad, with overseas purchases like Jason Roy, David Miller, Matthew Wade, Lockie Ferguson, and Noor Ahmad. As for the Indian talent, Titans went for Rahul Tewatia, Vijay Shankar, Jayant Yadav, R Sai Kishore, Wriddhiman Saha, Varun Aaron amongst others.
