Pakistan journalist Ihtisham Ul Haq's tweet after the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) mega-auction made him the butt of jokes on social media. He was roasted on Twitter for claiming that Shaheen Shah Afridi would have gone for INR 200 crores in the IPL auction.

India's wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was the most expensive player at the mega auction with Mumbai Indians (MI) breaking the bank to get him for INR 15.25 crore. He became the 2nd most expensive Indian player at an auction after Yuvraj Singh (INR 16 crore) in 2015.

Shaheen is currently among the best fast bowlers and he is the spearhead of the Pakistan bowling attack. He has already gained popularity for his consistent bowling performance and was praised for his deadly spell against India in the T20 World Cup 2021.
