The second day of the IPL 2022 auction saw much action and the 10 franchises opened up their purses further to buy backups and missing links in their squad.
Sean Abbott was sold to SRH for INR 2.4 crores and Alzarri Joseph was bought by Gujarat Titans for INR 2.4 crores in the first round of accelerated bidding.
Gujarat Titans were the biggest spenders in this second round of accelerated auction as they bought David Miller, and also filled their wicketkeepers slot by buying Wriddhiman Saha and Matthew Wade.

Kolkata Knight Riders also bought an overseas keeper in Sam Billings, while CSK bought Chris Jordan as a backup for Dwayne Bravo.
