Australian batter David Warner said that he didn’t feel like releasing a statement or reacting to his sacking as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH in IPL 2021, which happened in an unceremonious way.
Nothing went in David Warner’s way in the IPL 2021 as first, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) stripped him of his captaincy due to the team's poor outing in the first half in India and then later dropped him from the team due to his poor form.
The left-handed batter scored just 195 runs in the IPL 2021 and was not even allowed to travel with the team to stadiums in the second half of the tournament in UAE before he came out to cheer for them from the stands in the last few league games.

Warner was unsurprisingly not retained by SRH ahead of IPL 2022 auction as they went in for skipper Kane Williamson and two uncapped players in Abdul Samad and Umran Malik.
Speaking on The Brett Lee podcast, David Warner said that when he lost the captaincy of Sunrisers Hyderabad he thought he could go back to the old ways and felt that he didn’t have to react to the situation at that time.
"Last year, it hit me when I lost the captaincy in the Indian Premier League. I thought I could go back the old way, look at my stats. I believe that I didn't have to comment or do anything like that post that," David Warner said.
Warner said that playing T20 cricket in Indian conditions cooks a player’s body and taxes his legs. He cited the example of Glenn Maxwell, saying the all-rounder after bowling three overs in IPL 2021 was cooked.
"When you play T20 cricket in Indian conditions, it cooks your body and taxes your legs. You see, in Maxwell's IPL last year, he was cooked after three overs. If you are playing 14 games in the space of 60-70 days with training in between, you can't physically prepare for that,” he said.
David Warner further revealed that his IPL training every year includes 10 minutes of sauna and one kilometer run on the treadmill.
"I had seven days to prepare when I first arrived for the IPL. I would be in the sauna for 10 minutes and then run a kilometer on the treadmill and repeat the same. That was the only way I could prepare for the conditions and I've done it pretty much every time I've gone for the IPL," he said.
David Warner has registered himself for the IPL 2022 auction and is expected to be picked at a whopping amount. So far in 150 games in the tournament, the southpaw has scored 5449 runs, the most by any overseas player, at 41.59 and with a strike rate of 139.96.
