The Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) mega auction is expected to take place in Bengaluru on February 12-13. And it has been revealed that 590 players will go under the hammer at the mega event with the eight original franchises and the two new franchises- Ahmedabad and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)- bidding for them.
Out of the 590 players who are set to go under the hammer, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations. 370 are Indians and 220 are foreign players.
The highest reserve price is Rs 2 crore and 48 players have placed themselves in the highest bracket. 20 players have placed themselves in the 1.5 crore bracket while there are 34 players in the 1 crore bracket.

Many of the stars of T20 cricket like Eoin Morgan, Jason Holder, Aaron Finch, James Neesham, and Tim Southee have decided to place themselves under the INR 1.5 crores bracket in order to attract bids in the IPL 2022 auction.
