IPL 2022: 1214 cricketers register for mega auction; check out the base price & full list of players

The registered players will be up for grabs in the IPL 2022 mega auction next month.

IPL 2022 mega auction is slated to be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru | BCCI/IPLAustralia opener David Warner, spin twins R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal, all-rounders Shardul Thakur and Mitchell Marsh feature in the list of 49 cricketers who have registered their names for the IPL 2022 mega auction with the maximum base price of INR 2 crore.

A total of 1,214 players (896 Indian and 318 overseas) have registered to be a part of the mega auction, scheduled for next month. The list incorporates 270 capped, 903 uncapped and 41 Associate players.

Some of the leading names missing from the initial list include Ben Stokes, Chris Gayle, Jofra Archer, Mitchell Starc, Sam Curran and Chris Woakes.

Sreesanth, who failed to get a bid last year after his spot-fixing ban was lifted, has also put his name up for auction.
