IPL 2022: Kolkata Knight Riders rope in Bharat Arun as bowling coach for upcoming season

Bharat Arun served the Indian cricket team as the bowling coach from 2017 to 2021.

Bharat Arun | BCCIIndian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Friday (January 14) roped in Bharat Arun as bowling coach for the upcoming season.

Taking to Twitter, KKR confirmed the appointment, stating: ???????????????????????????????????????????????? We are delighted to introduce you to our new bowling coach! Welcome to the Knight Riders family, Bharat Arun.”

Notably, Bharat Arun served the Indian cricket team as the bowling coach from 2017 to 2021. His contract ended after the recently held ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman.

Arun has often been credited for the fast bowling revolution which the national team has seen in the last few years.

Under his mentorship, the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj among others improved their bowling by many folds and helped India win Test series away from home.
