Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener Ruturaj Gaikwad received a warm reception back home after arriving from UAE, where he played his part in helping CSK win their fourth IPL title.

Gaikwad scored 635 runs in the IPL 2021 season, with one hundred and four fifties. He also won the Orange Cap and was named the Emerging Player of the Season for his stupendous run of form with the willow.

He formed a great partnership with Faf du Plessis, who scored 633 runs in the season, as the duo often gave CSK the start they were after in the powerplay.

The franchise on Sunday (October 17) shared the video of the welcome Ruturaj Gaikwad got in his hometown Pune on their social media profiles. Gaikwad's mother could also be seen in the clip.

"It is top of the moon feeling to win the orange cap and win the IPL. It is very very satisfying to win the IPL. It feels great," Gaikwad said in the post-match presentation ceremony after the final between CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday, which Chennai won by 27 runs.
