West Indies teammates Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard have been in a sort of race as both players have extensive experience of playing T20 cricket all over the world. Both players have appeared in IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, Canada T20 league, and even in the T10 league as well.
Both have won the ICC T20 World Cup title as well with the West Indies side as well, Pollard once in 2016, while Bravo was part of the winning team in 2012 and 2016. Bravo entered into the second phase of the tournament after winning the CPL 2021 for his team St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. He carried a decent form and turned out to be a match-winner for CSK as well. He finished with 14 scalps in the tournament apart from a couple of important knocks with the bat as well.
While speaking with the broadcasters after the match ended, Bravo said: “That's the first thing I'm going to do when I turn on my phone - let Kieron Pollard know this is the 16th. He has some catching up to do.”
His mate Kieron Pollard in turn congratulated Bravo on his 16th T20 title win with a story on Instagram.
