Australia and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener David Warner on Friday (October 15) shared a fan art on his Instagram in which he and his daughter could be seen wearing the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey ahead of the team's IPL 2021 final against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Dubai.

Warner, while talking about the final, mentioned that the picture was made by a fan who requested him to post it and he could not refuse.

Warner deleted the post after a short while with the SRH fans expressing their unhappiness at him switching to the CSK camp. He made another post later and wrote, “Here’s the original, too many people were upset. What’s your prediction for tonight everyone. #ipl #cricket #sorry”

Warner had a torrid time with the SRH franchise in IPL 2021, after he was sacked as captain mid-way for Kane Williamson with the franchise not doing well and his form with the bat not being as good as before. He was left out for a game in India before the suspension of the league due to COVID-19 concerns.

With Bairstow being unavailable for the UAE-leg of the season, Warner was brought back into the XI but scored only two runs in two games before he was left out of the remaining games as SRH finished last with just 3 wins from 14 matches.

Warner finished with 195 runs from 8 matches and with that it is widely believed his long association with the SRH franchise has come to an end and he is likely to have a new home for the 2022 edition of the tournament.
