CSK and KKR clash on October 15 in the IPL 2021 final | BCCI-IPLFormer England captain Michael Vaughan is known for predicting results of international matches which most of the time go opposite to what he predicted. His predictions have often come true for the opposition teams and his streak has continued in the ongoing IPL 2021 season as well.

Now the time has come for the summit clash in the tournament when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) face-off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the final of the IPL 2021 in Dubai on October 15. CSK finished on no.1 spot in the points table in league stages and won the first qualifier against Delhi Capitals to come into the final.

KKR, on the other hand, was seventh on the points table when IPL 14 was interrupted in India and then changed their outlook and the way they played when the tournament shifted to UAE and found themselves qualifying for the playoffs. They beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the eliminator and then DC in the second qualifier to reach their third IPL final.

Therefore, Michael Vaughan took a self dig and with great pleasure reminded everyone how all of his predictions in the IPL 2021 thus far were correct and he predicted CSK to win the IPL 2021 which would be their fourth IPL title if it happens. He also said that Ravindra Jadeja will be the Player of the Match in the final.

As all my predictions this year have been spot on .. I think @ChennaiIPL will win the Final today .. Man of the match will be @imjadeja  #IPL2021Final,” Vaughan tweeted.

However the cricket fans on Twitter were quick to take Vaughan’s prediction of CSK winning the IPl 2021 final with a grain of salt and as expected, started congratulating Eoin Morgan’s KKR on their third IPL title, going with the natural progression of the former England captain’s prediction proving to be beneficial for their opposition.
