The Delhi Capitals' (DC) quick bowler Kagiso Rabada was the star performer for the Delhi-based franchise as they ended up as runners-up in last year’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) but in IPL 2021, the right-arm quick has picked only 13 wickets in 15 matches.
And Brian Lara feels the lack of wickets has made the South African pacer anxious in this ongoing IPL 2021. But Lara has backed Rabada to come good in Qualifier 2 and take DC to the final against CSK.
“Yes (his form is a concern for Delhi), he is an exceptional talent. He played a very big part in them getting to the finals, he got a lot of wickets in the middle and back end overs with slower balls and that is not been happening for him off late,” Lara said on Star Sports' Live Feed of Select Dugout.
“So, yeah, when you got Anrich Nortje doing the business up front, you want a world-class bowler who can do what he did in the previous tournaments, which he hasn't. And this has cost him a little bit of anxiousness. I suppose Delhi Capitals will love to see Rabada back in form,” he added.

The Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) though were off to a great start in Qualifier 1 owing to half-centuries from Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant, suffered a 4-wicket loss against the three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
CSK chased down DC’s target of 173 runs with 2 balls to spare as MS Dhoni turned back the clock and got the Chennai-based franchise over the line by scoring 18* (6) with 3 boundaries and a maximum to finish the game.
After losing to CSK in Dubai, DC will be locking horns with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Qualifier 2 scheduled on Wednesday (13 October) at Sharjah.
