IPL 2021: "End of an era"- Twitterverse reacts to Virat Kohli's last game as RCB captain

RCB were knocked out of IPL 2021 after losing the Eliminator to KKR by 4 wickets.

Virat Kohli captained RCB for the last time against KKR on Monday (11 October) | BCCI/IPLVirat Kohli had announced giving up the T20 captaincy of Team India after the T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE and Oman along with his IPL franchise RCB’s captaincy after IPL 2021.

However, Kohli didn't have a fairytale ending to his IPL captaincy for RCB as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) registered a 4-wicket win over them in the Eliminator of IPL 2021 on Monday (11 October) at Sharjah, ending the leadership tenure of Kohli which began in 2013 when he took over from Daniel Vettori.

Even though RCB was one of the most consistently performing teams, Kohli took this decision to manage his workload. Since RCB got knocked out of the tournament in the Eliminator, fans flooded Twitter with a lot of sweet messages for the 31-year-old as some people felt it was an ‘end of an era’.
