IPL 2021: Cricket fraternity reacts as Sunil Narine’s 4/21 helps KKR restrict RCB to 138/7

The winner of this match will face Delhi Capitals (DC) in the second qualifier on Wednesday (Oct 13) in Sharjah itself for a chance to play CSK in the finals.

RCB captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first going in the match with an unchanged side. Eoin Morgan’s KKR also went in unchanged.

Openers Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal added 49 runs in 5 overs before Padikkal fell to Ferguson for 21 runs. KS Bharat, the hero of RCB’s win last game, struggled for 9 runs in 15 balls, while Virat Kohli got himself set and was then dismissed for 39 in 33. Both these wickets fell to Sunil Narine.

Narine was in top form with the ball removing the dangerous duo of Glenn Maxwell (15) and AB de Villiers (11), finishing with figures of 4/21 in 4 overs. His fellow KKR spinners Shakib Al Hasan gave 24 runs in his 4 overs, while Varun gave 20 runs in his 4, choking the RCB batting lineup in middle overs.

Lockie Ferguson picked 2/30 in his 4 overs as RCB ended their innings at 138/7 in 20 overs.

The cricket fraternity was all praises for Sunil Narine’s champion-like bowling performance and lauded him on Twitter.
