The qualifier one of the IPL 2021 saw Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dubai on October 10, 2021. CSK captain MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl as they have won all the five matches in UAE chasing.
While DC made one change as Ripal Patel made way for Tom Curran in the playing XI, Many expected Suresh Raina to come in for Robin Uthappa in the Chennai Super Kings playing XI for this amazing match up to determine the first finalist.

Especially after Suresh Raina’s amazing record in the playoffs where he has 714 runs in 24 matches with a highest of 87 hitting 51 fours and 40 sixes and a total of 7 half-centuries at an average of 37.57 and strike rate of 155.21.
However, CSK fans were in for a shock as Suresh Raina was left out as MS Dhoni and co went in unchanged for qualifier 1. The fans took to Twitter to share their disappointment at ‘Chinna Thala’ being left out of the playing XI.
