Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowler Deepak Chahar was the happy man despite their loss against Punjab Kings (PBKS) as he's going to start a new innings in his life. Chahar proposed to his girlfriend Jaya Bhardwaj after the match on Thursday (October 8).
As per Dainik Jagran, Chahar had planned the proposal during the IPL 2021 playoffs but it was captain MS Dhoni, who asked him to propose to his girlfriend after the clash against Delhi Capitals.
However, the result didn't go CSK's way and Chahar decided to keep it for their last league match against Punjab.
Despite the loss, Chahar had no other option but to propose Jaya at the end of the match in Dubai, the speedster's father reportedly told Dainik Jagran.
After the video of Chahar proposing to his girlfriend went viral on social media, fans felt his better half is a foreigner. His sister Malti posted a tweet after the match to clarify Jaya is from Delhi.
Reports say Jaya is the sister of former Bigg Boss contestant Siddharth Bhardwaj, who is a TV actor and has also appeared on Splitsvilla 2.
