The J&K pace bowler Umran Malik was called in as a temporary replacement by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for T Natarajan who had contracted COVID-19 and would be missing a few matches due to his quarantine.

However, Umran, who made his debut in IPL against KKR, has managed to impress one and all as he clocked 150 kph plus in his first over itself. Though he didn’t pick a single wicket, he gave only 27 runs in his four overs.

Fan and cricket experts were awaiting what the Srinagar lad would have in store for them when SRH faced off Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their next encounter. And Umran didn’t disappoint as he clocked 153 kph in one of his overs which also consisted of deliveries over 151 kph. He also removed KS Bharat to pick his first wicket in IPL.

He is the only Indian pacer to bowl over 150 kph in IPL 2021 so far.
