Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi on Tuesday (October 5) praised Indian captain Virat Kohli for always giving his 100% at practice.
Kohli shared a video clip from his practice session in Dubai ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)'s next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Wednesday.
The RCB captain wrote, “Prepping” with the clip and tagged the franchise's Twitter handle.
Afridi quoted the tweet and wrote, “Treat to watch - A great player always gives 100% in practice!!” with couple of clapping emojis.
Afridi and Kohli had quite a few onfield battles but always shared a cordial relation off it. Kohli had famously sent a signed Team India jersey to Afridi for his foundation in 2017.
Kohli will lead India against Pakistan later this month on October 24 in their first match of the T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai. This will be the champion batter's last tournament as T20I captain following which he will only play in the format for the country as a player. He will also step down as RCB captain after IPL 2021.
